Ducati e Denari is a turn-based grand strategy game set in Renaissance Italy. You rule a city-state — managing its economy, military, and diplomacy as you compete with rival nations for supremacy across the Mediterranean.

Features:

  • Sovereign Currency — Mint your own money, manage gold reserves, and watch inflation erode reckless spending. Every nation has its own currency with floating exchange rates.
  • Deep Economy — Build farms, mines, workshops, and plantations. Trade commodities on dynamic markets. Corner markets to control prices. Your cities consume goods and your merchants trade autonomously with foreign partners.
  • Military — Levy infantry, cavalry, and archers. Equip them with weapons forged in your blacksmiths. Build fleets from rafts to galleons. Siege enemy capitals or hire mercenaries to do it for you.
  • Diplomacy — Forge trade treaties and alliances. Fabricate claims, embargo rivals, or send envoys to improve relations. Every NPC nation has its own economy, military, and agenda.
  • 13 Playable Nations — From the Republic of Florence to the Byzantine Empire. Each with unique starting positions, currencies, and challenges.
  • 5 Victory Conditions — Conquer your rivals, dominate trade, build a financial empire, grow your population, or unite the world through diplomacy.

This is an open beta. All core systems are playable. Balance, AI, and polish are actively being refined. Feedback welcome.

the expansion feature is very confusing. In my game I can see one other player expandig via military and no one else and i seem incable of expanding

Thank you for the feedback - Expansion is done either via conquest or by building new towns. I will be adding a tutorial shortly to explain the beginning turns and have the wiki in the top right menu for more detailed explanation of the mechanics.
